We did it!

After months of nervous waiting, wondering IF we could do it, we finally did it.

WE PURCHASED ANOTHER HOUSE!

It wasn't easy. My credit rating is stuffed thanks to my ex's gambling problem, but our mortgage broker helped us so much and made it possible (if anyone in Melb needs a mortgage broker, let me know, I'll give you his details).

This beauty will be ours as of the 13th of April (yep, Friday the 13th ha).

It has 5.5brms, 3 toilets, 2 kitchens, and 1/2 an acre.

The downstairs part is actually it's own "unit". Fully self contained (so it has it's own kitchen and bathroom) it has no access via the main house (aka, no stairs via the inside of the house). It has a massive bedroom and then a little mini one (enough to fit a cot and change table). This will be the guest room (and the half room will be my sewing area).

2 sheds, a POWERED cubby house, and all the under house is for "storage". Room will no longer be our problems.

Oh and excitement plus - we will have a PLAY ROOM! Goodbye excessive toys in our lounge room!

I cannot wait to move.

But.... it's going to be a culture shock, probably for the better. I'll go from a 15-30 min drive to work (only 7 mins on school holidays) to 45-60 mins. We will have NO commercial take away shops in an easy reach (30 mins to the closest maccas) and we won't be able to hear our neighbours kids scream every single night.

We are moving to Cockatoo, in Victoria's "Dandenong Ranges" (please don't start on bush fires - we know we know, we will have a fire ready plan as soon as we move).
